Grenada Citizenship & Residency

The Grenadian passport is currently ranked 34th among global passports, according to the Guide Passport Ranking Index. The Grenada passport ranking is due to the degree of global entry it guarantees to Grenadian passport holders, who may travel visa-free to 141 countries, but who otherwise need a visa to access 60 countries globally.

National passports are ranked according to how many countries a holder can access visa-free. The Grenada passport ranking therefore reflects the number of visa-free countries accessible to Grenadian passport holders. Visa-free countries include those where entry is possible without a visa, and with a visa on arrival / electronic travel authorization (eTA).

  • Passport rank: 34th

Grenada has a very popular investment program that grants an instant passport. For the Citizenship by Investment program, the applicants are required to invest a minimum of USD $200,000 and pay fees which amount to about USD $50,000. The investment must be in government-approved real estate or other projects. After the investment and application process is completed, the individual instantly becomes a citizen in Grenada.

Parents and grandparents of the principal applicant and spouse may apply as dependents in the application if they can prove that they live with, and are financially dependent upon, the principal applicant. There is no longer a minimum age requirement for the parents/grandparents. Processing under the Grenada program is just 2-3 months, and this program allows visa-free travel to many countries worldwide, including the UK and Hong Kong. Visa-free travel to the European Union is under review, and could be approved soon.
